ROLLER COASTERS CHALLENGE

Challenge: To build the longest and most complex roller coaster.

Materials: foam tubes, white tape and marbles.

Time: 40 minutes.

In teams of 3/4, 3rd and 4th grade students have enjoyed this challenge while learning basic concepts of kinetic energy, potential energy, speed and gravity. It has been an amazing exciting experience in which the students have learnt the importance of cooperative work.

 

El reto: Construir la montaña rusa más larga e intrincada posible.

Los materiales: Coquillas aislantes, cinta de carrocero y canicas.

El tiempo: 40 minutos.

En equipos de 3/4, los alumnos de 3º y 4º de primaria han disfrutado de esta práctica mientras aprendían conceptos básicos de energía cinética, energía potencial, velocidad y gravedad. Ha sido una experiencia increíble en la que los alumnos se han divertido mientras trabajaban en equipo.
